Czech Republic - through exotic eyes

India is exotic to so much of humanity (not excluding a large proportion of Indians!), that the country has stopped trying to shake off the epithet. On the other hand, the Czech Republic as an exotic land is surely a surprising concept to many, except for someone who comes from what has been "traditionally" talked of as exotic.
To an Indian like me it can never cease to exotic, and so I thought I should try and document the wonder with which I tend to see much of what happens around me. That I still continue, after more than six years of living here, to feel a sense of wonder is proof plenty that this country can and does fit the exotic label. So allow me to present some of those things that awake in me this sense of wonder.

Česko exotickýma očima

Indie je exotickou zemí pro tolik lidí (velkou část Indů nevyjímaje), že už se úplně přestala snažit zbavit tohoto přívlastku. Naproti tomu použít stejné označení pro Českou republiku, to by jistě mnohé udivilo - ovšem kromě někoho, kdo přichází právě ze země, o které se odedávna mluví jako o exotické.
Mně jako Indovi nemůže Česká republika nikdy přestat připadat dost exotická, proto jsem se chtěl pokusit zdokumentovat údiv, se kterým sleduji spoustu z toho, co se děje kolem mě. To, že po více než šesti letech pobytu stále znovu žasnu, je dostatečným potvrzením myšlenky, že pro zdejší zemi se označení "exotická" hodí. Dovolte mi proto představit několik věcí, které ve mně vzbuzují tento pocit údivu.
