Commentary on the Announcement of the Faculty of Arts of
Masaryk University Dean’s Award for the Popularization of the
Humanities and Social Sciences
The FF MU Dean’s Award for the Popularization of the Humanities and Social Sciences
complements two other awards – the MU FF Dean’s Award for Outstanding Student
Thesis and the FF MU Dean’s Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement. Like these
awards, it will be announced during the Humanities Week celebration.
It is intended for members of the academic community (students and academics) who have
made a significant contribution to popularizing the humanities and social sciences, thereby
raising awareness among the general public of the irreplaceable contribution and
importance of these disciplines for the all-round development of a democratic society and
culture.
