EDUC call for Seed projects

The European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) Alliance invites applications for Seed Projects, fostering small-scale collaborative R&I efforts across EDUC partner institutions.

The European EDUC Alliance is open for submissions to the Seed projects call. These are collaborative projects in the EDUC WIDE network, which includes 9 universities:

  • Masaryk University, Czech Republic
  • University of Pécs, Hungary
  • Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ukraine
  • University of Cagliari, Italy
  • University of Potsdam, Germany
  • University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway
  • University Jaume I, Spain
  • University of Rennes, France
  • University Paris Nanterre, France

The projects should be focused on university cooperation, with the involvement of at least two institutions from the EDUC Alliance.

The focus of the EDUC Wide project is as follows, Seed Projects will support projects that address the highlighted themes:

- Life Long Health and Wellbeing
- Culture and Heritage
- Justice, inequality and inclusion
- Mobility/Smart Cities
- European Union Studies
- Sustainable Changes: Climate and resources
- Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence
- Economics and Business
- Material Science
- Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Behavioural/Neuroscience studies


The estimated budget per project is EUR 20 000 - 60 000 for a period of 12 - 18 months.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 27 January 2025 at 12:00.
