Description Topic of the quality of final works defended at universities seen in the light of recent plagiarism seems to be still urgent. The study, based on structural content analysis, examines the faculty documents (standards) that are closely linked (by the topic or the content) with the final works. The examined sample is formed by the faculty documents, and documents of the departments that guarantee particular study subjects. The initial state of the study is formed by the description of the present context transformation, mostly the transformation into a two level study, increased number of students in the tertiary study programmes in the past ten years, emphasis placed on the quality and learning outcomes seen from the point of view of student oriented approach as described in the national Q-RAM project. There were 24 documents analysed using the structural content analysis using formal, content, typological and scale analysis. The work resulted in understanding the structure of the documents that allowed the researchers to describe main characteristic features of the documents. One of findings illustrates the prevailing procedure orientation of the documents, which contrasts with the lack of clear content presentation and definition of the subject standards that would simple and seamlessly introduced the students with the major expectations and demands. The study concludes that the topic will allow the subject guarantees conceptually and freely define the relationship between the competences of the graduates, learning outcomes of the particular fields and the need to articulate meaningful standard of the final work in the defined subject or field.
