Description The first item on the agenda was a presentation by the specialist of the project "Active Matching: Strategic Consultancy Support in the Labour Market" Josef Horňáček on data collection methods and initial findings on employers' requirements on workforce in the Czech regional labour market. He also presented further steps in this project, the creation of profession cards, assessing the functionality of this type of investigation in the labour market and the creation of certified methodology. Then the Swedish labour market experts Tord Strannefors and Jan Sundqvist presented "occupational barometer" which is an outcome of labour market requirements analysis and described how this barometer has been used by the public employment services and other actors in the labour market, such as regional authorities, municipalities, educational institutions, employers associations, unions, but also people who are deciding on further working careers. Workshop participants were mainly interested in sampling ways during the pilot study among employers in the Czech regional labour market. Furthermore, discussion focused on information systems for occupational barometer and its implementation, on ways of forecasting demands for certain professions/occupations, as well as on an issue of long-term conflict between supply and demand - a lack of technical professions, although there is cooperation with schools, but problems to arouse students' interest in these professions.
