| Description | The paper sets to describe a multimedia translation project which took place at the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University, Brno and it focuses on the translation procedure itself and the issues of culture-specific and linguistic-specific problems involved in translation of the subtitles for the Italian film La prima cosa bella. It aims to point out the most problematic areas of the process, compare the translational process of two groups of students and synthesize the basic weaknesses in the students' linguistic competences. |
