Description Persuasion is an effective tool causing attitude and behavior change. Its usage can bring about a lot of positive outcomes. However it is also able to inflict damage when used inappropriately. This thesis is focused on the theoretical explanation of persuasion processes. The experimental proofs are supporting the central ideas. Moreover, it provides thorough insight in the decision making processes which enlarges the theoretical basis for understanding persuasion processes. The main goal of this work is to provide relevant information that stands on solid theoretical basis, experimental studies and practical applications. The reader acquires the knowledge of persuasion principles that is able to identify, resist or utilize.
