Description This study investigates the impact that dominated alternatives introduced into the choice set have of preference shifts in respondents. An experiment has been conducted, examining mainly various decoy types and their perfomance. Further investigation was conducted to see what the role of personal traits, such as Need for Cognitive Closure, is. Limitations of the research are discussed and further directions are outlined.
