Description New edition Daniel Adam of Veleslavín: Nomenclator quadrilinguis Boemico-Latino- Graeco-Germanicus from 1598 is the first ever critical edition of humanist dictionary. Edition is intended for both philologists and specialists dealing with the history of Czech and European culture and students of secondary schools and universities. Book includes in addition to the dictionary, and the original prefaces also an introductory study about the sources of the dictionary and the impact of Nomenclator and detailed editorial rules. Nomenclator is based on the German original, therefore are also accompanying studies translated into German. Translations into Czech and German are also connected to the passages of the old press, which were originally only in Latin; Czech part of the dictionary is supplemented by a transcription into modern Czech spelling. Part of the book is CD with sophisticated search application, which contains not only all the texts from the book, but also registers Czech and Latin words printed in the original book and photocopies of old prints.
