| Description | One of the taken-for-granted suggestions concerning the leftist movement in post-Soviet countries is its fragmentation and the lack of efficient management. Feminism also is seen in the limits of this stereotype. Indeed, the female activists and feminists often present themselves as mutually opposed what calls for more deepen view. Belarus implements the formal expectations of the international organizations and in Belarussian Parliament the share of women is not less than 33 percentage. But local feminists continue to emphasize that this statistical success only aggravates the situation with the women’s rights. In Russia for five last years the diverse feminist initiatives were established what directly influenced the mass-media approach, and this scenario remains typical of other post-Soviet regions. But in which degree feminism operates as an option for elaborating civil society? What limits it, and where could be fond the room for unlimited playful development of political activism among the women? What is a particular role of feminism in general process of post-Soviet transformation? |
