Citation
Description Documentary collections of (not only) memory institutions represent a valuable source of materials suitable for both public presentation and professional research. Major obstacle arises with problematic access to these materials - limited possibilities of both time and physical access, the more problematic search of specific information etc. One of the possible solutions is offered by a well-executed digitization and catalogization of collections. Documentation collections of the Department of European Ethnology of the Masaryk University Faculty of Arts are mostly represented by the outputs of student (field researches, final theses) and teacher (usually questionnaire sheets from realized researches) projects. Submitted presentation deals with a year-long project focused at digitization of part of department database, its subsequent catalogization and use in an online atlas of annual customs in Moravia.
