| Description | A detailed cataloguing of the extant libretti of oratorios at the Holy Sepulchre can be of fundamental importance for determining their trajectories. The transfer of libretti is one of the most interesting segments of research into this genre. The paper presents some German-language libretti from the first half of the 18th century that were written in Vienna and circulated in various forms and versions among different Viennese religious orders, as well as those libretti that were distributed from Vienna to other places, also by religious orders and aristocrats with an interest in music. The texts and their adaptations, as well as possible models, are discussed for selected libretti. |
