| Description | The final form of present work shaped not only by conclusions from field research, but first of all by reflections on the development of the subject which now has been called European ethnology , but whose origins go back to the early ethnographic efforts of the second half of the 19th century. The first chapter of the work provides a concise introduction to the issues of an early development of the field in confrontation with somme views of contemporary social sciences. Two micro-social probes focus on the research of one of folk musician from Moravian Slovakia and the phenomemon of the ride of kings int this region. |
