We have a new Vice-Dean for Doctoral Studies

Dear colleagues,
I want to thank the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts MU for the trust shown in me. I perceive the opportunity to deal with the agenda related to the accreditation of study programmes and doctoral study programmes at my alma mater as an opportunity to use my previous work experience to benefit all faculty departments. I will approach the challenges associated with this area in the coming period with deep respect for the traditional values of the Faculty of Arts MU and, at the same time, with openness to new opportunities and necessary changes.
Within my professional profile, I focus on basic and applied psychological disciplines with considerable interdisciplinary overlaps. In turn, I have a long-standing research interest in risk and protective factors of development, the study of which is based on a multidisciplinary approach. Therefore, I firmly believe that collaboration across a wide variety of disciplines is not only very inspiring and rewarding but also beneficial for all involved and, as a result, can significantly help to maintain continuity and quality in teaching and research in the Faculty of Arts MU.
I look forward to our mutual meetings and cooperation.
Iva Burešová Vice-Dean for Studies in Doctoral Programmes and Quality of Degree Programmes
