Popis | The author focuses on the formation of the Liechtenstein dominion in south Moravia along the border with Lower Austria. Its center became Mikulov, which originally belonged to the Drnholec family to whom it was confiscated by King Wenceslas I shortly before the mid-13th century. The Liechtensteins later acquired also the large domain of the Orphani Family who died out in the beginning of the 14th century, received the royal castles Maidburg and Neuhaus as a fief and finally attained also the domains Drnholec and Břeclav. |
