Popis Most measures directed towards reducing administrative burdens are focused on barriers for business while the issue of regulation inside government is not often discussed. The research carried out in 2010 among municipalities in Slovenia try to found out, which regulation imposed the highest burden. Results have shown that public procurement regulations are the greatest burden for municipalities. Further research indicates which public procurement procedures municipalities used most often and what benefits they perceive in the amended legislation. Results indicate that most municipalities use open procedures, which procedurally is the most complex. The research results are compared with selected results in other Eastern European countries. The economy of contracting local public services in Slovakia is used for comparison.
