| Popis | Carnap's concept EXPLICATION has been revived in recent philosophy and methodology of science. Explication of an inexact, vague, 'pre-scientific' concept such as WATER consist in replacing it by a more precise, exact concept such as H2O. Scientist and (some) philosophers provide explications of variety of concepts of our conceptual scheme. There arises a question whether we do understand the very concept properly; in other words, one aims to explicate the very concept EXPLICATION. We introduce a novel approach, rivalling that by Hanna; it is framed in hyperintensional logic. |
