Popis Metal nanoalloys display many interesting properties, such as depression of melting point,1 plasmon resonance, catalytic activity and phase separation.2 Nanoalloys could be synthesized by many different routes. The solvothermal synthesis, especially in oleylamine1–3 appears as very convenient and hot injection technique should ensure homogeneous conditions for nanoparticle nucleation and growth. AgNi alloy nanoparticles were prepared by injection of an oleylamine solution of metal precursors (different molar ratios, 0.4 mmol total amount) to a 4:5 mixture of oleylamine and octadecene at 230 °C. After 10 min, the reaction mixture was cooled down. Nanoparticles were washed, isolated, and redispersed in hexane for characterization. Nanoparticles were characterized by DLS, TEM, ICP OES, and SAXS, UV-VIS, HT-XRD, SEM and VSM.
