| Popis | In this article one of the most famous medieval battles is described - the battle of Hastings. This battle changed the course of the history of England, because the indigenous Wessex dynasty was replaced by the rule of foreign overlord, count William of Normandy. Together with him there were many nobles from Normandy that came to England and this new aristocracy gradually replaced the Anglo-Saxon elites. |
