| Popis | The concept of archetype is one of the fundamental ones in textual scholarship. Tough, no univocal and generally accepted definition has been proposed so far. By reviewing its definition and use from Karl Lachmann to Paul Maas, to Giorgio Pasquali, and to the more recent and fulfilling Michael D. Reeve and Paolo Trovato, I try to understand the evolution of such concept and propose a new definition useful to the scopes of textual criticism. |
