Popis | This paper is concerned by the case patterns found with Czech higher numerals. In a well-known paper on cognate Russian numerals, Babby (1985) established and provided theoretical grounding for a split into two distinct case patterns, which he called heterogeneous (in structural cases) and homogeneous (in oblique cases). Against this background, I show that in Czech, the homogeneous pattern can be further sub-divided into three distinct patterns depending on the morphology of the numeral. |
