Popis Theories of propaganda and persuasion are based mainly on experience of the World Wars and Cold War period. Naturally. Those periods were so rich with propaganda art. However, there is brand new environment and challenges we have to deal with in 21st century when we approach propaganda. Alvin and Heidi Toffler talk about the third wave of revolution in military affairs. Heir Giles and others mention information warfare of Russia, China, and ISIS. All determining how actors understand purpose of the information, what tools they use to persuade the audience and how they weaponize information. The aim of our paper is to challenge main theories and to move theory of propaganda forward reflecting new circumstances as development of manipulative techniques and approaches to understand propaganda. Our research consists of analysis of manipulative techniques used by nowadays propagandists, especially on the Internet and in media outlets. Therefore, our research question is “What does nowadays propaganda look like?” The analysis is based on quantitative and qualitative research. This combination allows us to identify main manipulative techniques and understand the purpose of their use. According to our research we challenge the propaganda theories based on 20th century experience. With focus on recent events and propaganda pieces we say that technology and information revolution have changed the world of propaganda profoundly.
