• Popis: In the article the etymology of Greek dárda "bee" is studied. Among various etymological attempts seems to be the most promising solution proposing the common origin of Greek dárda "bee" and Iranian *d(a)rdam(a)- / *drdma-ka- "scorpion" - both the forms should be derivatives of the term *H2rdo "sting", perhaps via partial reduplication.
