Popis | Unconventional monetary policy tools have become rather a standard of the last decade. Following the financial crisis of 2008–2009, a new challenge for the eurozone countries started to emerge in 2010 with high tensions on the sovereign debt markets. Aside from other measures, ECB employed several unconventional monetary policy tools. The aim of this chapter is to present the core features of the Pandemic Emergency Purchase Programme (PEPP), a bond-buying programme introduced by the ECB in March 2020, to outline the core legal challenges the previous asset purchase programmes had to deal with and consider the possible legal challenges that might be brought against the PEPP. |
