Citace
Popis At the beginning of the 18th century, archaeological excavations at important sites was often motivated by the private interests of researchers who exported many artifacts from their countries of origin and thus created impressive private collections. However, over time, the loss of cultural heritage began to be a problem that the affected countries decided to address. Thus, the first laws were created that regulated research, export and storage of archaeological finds in local museums. Thus, they put the public interest in the foreground and laid the foundations of archaeological heritage care as we know it today. The task of the paper is to describe this breakthrough period in Greece, Italy and Austria-Hungary.
