Popis The aim of this lecture was to show how literature has been marginalised in the development of analytic philosophy, even though, from the point of view of pragmatism, it seems to be a suitable tool for education. This is also the perspective of the American philosopher Richard Rorty, who addresses the problem of cultural relativism with his concept of sentimental education. Although this concept has certain limitations, this lecture attempted to show, by drawing on knowledge from the neurocognitive sciences, that literature could indeed overcome cultural barriers and become an effective tool for our education.
