Popis Conceptualizations of “the nature and its functioning play a significant role in the extreme right , which often frame s itself as providing an antidote to “unnatural” democracy and multiculturalism in the form of authoritarian exclusionary nationalism , seemingly more aligned with inherent qualities of (some portions of) human species Extreme right views on the human place in the laws of nature can also resonate with manifold actors with in the pagan and esoteric scene. Since the last decade, particularly discussed esoteric movement with extreme right and terrorist sympathies has been the “sinister milieu The milieu can be described as a transnational network of groupings, platforms and individuals which has emerged out of the British Order of Nine Angles Despite their ideological and organisational complexity, actors in milieu have in common a distinct antinomian outlook, focusing on self development of the individual via norm defiance and taboo transgression. Secondly, the milieu can be characterised by a shared view that the true nature and evolutionary destiny of Western civilization lies in the impulse t o explore and conquer, which should result in the colonization of outer space. To achieve this “aeonic” goal of the West a s well as to enact the antinomian self liberation, the milieu aims to fight against the egalitarian Magian” “Nazarene” power structures (Judaeo-Christianity, capitalism, socialism, etc.) which it sees as foreign elements o n the soil of the West disabling the fulfilment of the individual and the evolution of the West. The adoption of extreme right politics is o ne possible strategy of antinomian self-development and correct ion of the aeonic evolution advocated by the milieu, be it via encouraging a temporary infiltration in the practice of “insight roles” or via other means. Yet, the academic research lacked a substantial analysis of the motivations present in the milieu for the involvement or disinvolvement in the extreme right. This paper introduces the pilot results of such analysis , developed in the Programme Johannes Amos Comenius grant project Beyond Security: Role of Conflict in Resilience Building (CoRe) To accomplish this analysis thoroughly, it aims to map all major views on the extreme right explicitly stated by the actors across the complex milieu , as well as to uncover the implicit factor s involved in the legitimisation, or de legitimisation of this politics The analysed dataset forms a representative sample of 84 shorter doctrinal and practical texts (“manuscripts” in the common terminology of the milieu) in which thematization of the extreme right was discerned and which circulate across the important online spaces of the milieu. The discursive strategies responsible for legitimisation, or de legitimi s ation of the extreme right were uncovered by qualitative coding. Via this approach, the paper not only contributes to the understanding of the entanglements between the far right and alternative spiritualities but will also demonstrate how constructions of “ the nature” and “the natural” influence the politic al views in the sinister milieu.
