| Popis | To mark the 110th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War, the Záhorie Museum in Skalica has prepared an exhibition entitled The First World War. Two separate parts are available in the exhibition space. The first, more general, is devoted to the First World War in Záhorie; panels with texts are supplemented by collection objects. The second part, entitled "Pictures from the Balkan Battlefield", was compiled by Václav Štěpánek and is based on photographs and information from the diary of the Uherskobrod native, Lieutenant-Commander of the C.K. Army Hynek Doležal, who served in the Balkans and on the Thessaloniki front, from 1914 - 1918, and is supplemented by collection items from the collection of doc. Václav Štepánek. A catalogue compiled by Václav Štěpánek is available for the exhibition. |
