Virtual Drama: How VR Theatre Might Promote Cultural Awareness

| Popis | In 2023, we completed a research project on education in collaborative VR by answering some and raising many more questions. Among others, we explored how a truly efficient use of VR instruction affects learning a foreign language. In a follow-up project, we went beyond the language. Putting the affective experience into focus, we aimed at teaching and learning about foreign cultures through performing art in VR. Thus, our VR-theatrebased project came to being, bringing many challenges and re-defining theatre. Each rehearsal as well as each performance becomes a a part of a design process and we’ll be happy to present the status quo of its progress. |
