Popis | In patients treated with real rTMS before treatment the score of total PANSS was 58.2, positive PANSS 7.7, negative PANSS 21.3 and general PANSS 29.2 and after treatment the score of total PANSS was 45.2, positive PANSS 7.5, negative PANSS 15.5 and general PANSS 22.2. Except of positive PANSS all other PANSS subscales decreased statistically significantly (p<0.05, Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test). In patients treated with sham rTMS before treatment the score of total PANSS was 64.2, positive PANSS 8.9, negative PANSS 22.1 and general PANSS 33.2 and after treatment the score of total PANSS was 57.0, positive PANSS 8.3, negative PANSS 20.6 and general PANSS 28.1. General and total PANSS subscales decreased only statistically significantly (p<0.05, Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test), there was no change in negative PANSS. High frequency rTMS applied over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex led to a reduction of negative symptoms and may be beneficial as an augmentation option to antipsychotics in the treatment of negative symptoms of schizophrenia. |
