Medieval bookbinding is a rich source of information, especially when comparing a sizeable number of books. This project aims to examine several libraries of medieval ecclesiastical institutions from Slovakia to study practices of the bookbinder workshops. It will focus on the 15th century. An analysis of the decorative parts will allow setting specific signs of the workshops. An occurrence of the book covers from the same workshop in a library will lead to a better understanding of the manners
