The aim of the project is to study the possible literary genre in which we could inscribe the works of the author Lucia Asué Mbomio Rubio. The research will be divided into two major parts, the first one dedicated to the rising and development of the new literary tendency called Creative Non-Fiction and the subgenre of the autofiction. The second part will focus on study of the books published by the author within the theoretical guidelines of the genre. The project aims to achieve a clear picture on the development and actual state of the investigation around the autofiction and creative non-fictionality studies and apply such notions to the analysis of Las que se atrevieron and Hija del Camino, published respectively in 2017 and 2019, attempting to confirm the idea that such works can be characterized as autofiction and trying to better understand the reason behind the choice of some contemporary authors to write creative non-fiction.
