The Academic Senate met for the first time in its new composition
At the constituent session, the Chairmanship was elected and the Senate committees were appointed. The reform of doctoral studies was also discussed.
The possibility of taking the entrance exam online remains. The addition of a Disciplinary Committee was also made and the process of proving confirmation of studies to the Personnel Office was discussed.
At its meeting on 11 October 2021, the Academic Senate of the MU Faculty of Arts approved the updated admission requirements for the academic year 2022/2023. Contrary to the requirements of the Rector's Office, the Faculty is keeping the minimum pass rate for the examinations at 30% of the total score, rather than the percentile of 30, so as not to unnecessarily eliminating capable candidates where the subject examination itself already acts as a sufficient sieve.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty of Arts MU has been supplemented by Doc. Knotová, Dr. Vázquez and Mgr. Machalová.
The process of delivering the confirmation of studies to the Personnel Office, which students in an employment relationship with the Faculty must undergo, was also discussed. The aim is to simplify this process as much as possible and to ensure that the HR department can obtain the confirmation without a personal visit of the student. The Senate directed the faculty leadership to address this issue.
At the next meeting, the Senate will address the details of the organization of the dean's election and, in particular, the rules for the presentation of candidates. Suggestions regarding this matter can be directed to the Electoral Committee. The Administrative Committee is also inviting to send suggestions of a similar nature to the process of delivering the confirmation of studies mentioned above.
The detailed course of the meeting of the Senate is recorded in the minutes (in Czech only).
The next meeting of the Senate will be held on 8 November 2021.
At the constituent session, the Chairmanship was elected and the Senate committees were appointed. The reform of doctoral studies was also discussed.
In the final session, there was a discussion on the remuneration of senators or the promotion of eco-travel.
