At its meeting on 8 November 2021, the Academic Senate FA MU approved the final schedule of the dean election, especially the debates of the candidates with the individual chambers of the Senate and the faculty public. Details can be found on the elections page.

The Administrative Committee presented a proposal for an anonymized online form for collecting suggestions. They also reported on the resolution of the complaint regarding the documentation of proof of study to the Personnel Office by tenured students. Unfortunately, the process cannot be automated, as the legislation requires the taxpayer to clearly indicate for each tax year his/her will to claim a tax credit or to not add the health insurance to the minimum base. However, it is currently already possible to supply the confirmation of studies to the HR department electronically from an e-mail box in IS.

The Senate also approved the text of the MU Faculty of Arts Annual Report for 2020 with minor reservations. It will be available to the faculty public soon.

The Bursar of the Faculty informed about the process of funding refreshments for events of academic departments, which is currently addressed by the impossibility of creating a representation fund: the head of the department will contact the Bursar with a simple request and will be allowed to exchange budget funds for extra-budgetary funds from the central resources of the Faculty.

Professor Tomáš Knoz announced his decision to resign from the Faculty of Arts Faculty Senate as he is a member of one of the candidate teams in the upcoming dean's election and he perceives this as a conflict of interest.

The detailed course of the meeting of the Senate is recorded in the minutes (in Czech only).

The next meeting of the Senate will be held on 13 December 2021.
