International Public Reading of Homer's Iliade

The Department of Classical studies, as one of not many institutions in the central Europe, takes part every year in a public reading of ancient authors, which is organised by the University of Lyon in frame of the festival Latin Grec. Two years ago, Homer's Odyssea was read; last year, it was Ovid and his Methamorphoses; this year, there is going to be presented Homer again, but this tima his Iliade, the first book to be concrete.

The scenic reading is going to be held in Czech, but there will be a short demonstration of ancient Greek, as well.
