A Twelve Top Tree. Czech Religious Broadside Ballads and Pilgrimage Chapbooks

Against the background of the Christian liturgical year, the exhibition presents well-known and lesser-known saints and holidays, their reflections in broadside ballads and folk culture. Through textual, pictorial, musical and three-dimensional material, it connects seemingly unrelated, seemingly outdated topics with real life and the present. The exhibition is accompanied by an interactive touch screen and video loop.

The exhibition has been prepared by the Department of Czech Language of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, in cooperation with the Moravian Museum.
