Book Launch: Russian Imperialism

The Centre for Early Medieval Studies and the Knihex Book Fair cordially invite you to the launch of the new book Russian Imperialism: Art, Science and Religion in the Service of Regimes (1801-2023). The book will be presented by its author Ivan Foletti. The book is a chilling testimony to the abuse of history for the benefit of Russian regimes of the last two hundred years. The cornerstone of Russia's imperialist rhetoric was and still is one of the most powerful empires of the past, "medieval" Byzantium. It is this that the imperialist Russian rulers want to build on and do not hesitate to use any means to do so, especially the blatant manipulation of history. Paradoxically, the same story can serve the Tsar, Stalin and Putin.

The book presentation with a book signing will take place at the Knihex book fair in Prague.
