DCC Summer School Literary Translation 2024

The Dutch Studies Section is organizing a Summer School of Literary Translation, which will be attended by students and teachers from Central European Dutch departments.

The summer school has been held since 2016, originally at the University of Vienna. DCC Summer School Literair vertalen en actoren in literair vertalen: individuen en instellingen.

This year's summer school is a BIP project, so it has an online and a physical part.

In addition to the BIP project, participants will be supported by ERASMUS+, CEEPUS and Dutch Language Union. The Summer School is also part of a long-standing cooperation with partners in the DCC project.

This year the Summer School focuses in theoretical lectures and workshops on actors - individuals and institutions - active in the field of literary translation . In the practical translation workshops, we will focus on the translation of the excerpt "Toni" from the book Dans Dans revolutie by a Dutch author named Lisa Weeda and also on other texts. The author will also be present and will read from her books.
