Exhibition The Journey of St. Cyril and Methodius and their disciples

The Institute of Slavonic Studies of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague, and the Cyril and Methodius Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences invite you to the exhibition The Journey of Sts. Cyril and Methodius and their Disciples.

The opening will occur on 9 November 2022 at 15:30 at the Institute of Slavonic Studies, Faculty of Arts, MU, Building A, 3rd floor. The opening will be opened by Prof. Silvia Barlieva from the Cyril and Methodius Research Institute in Sofia.

The Institute of Slavonic Studies of the Faculty of Arts of MU together with the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague and the Cyril and Methodius Research Institute BAV in Sofia present a documentary exhibition The Journey of Sts. Cyril and Methodius and their Disciples. The exhibition is part of the project "Cultural Routes of Cyril and Methodius" within the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme. Through travelling through space and time, it seeks to show how the heritage of individual European nations and countries is becoming our common cultural heritage. The programme provides a channel for intercultural dialogue and promotes a deeper knowledge and understanding of European cultural identity and the preservation and restoration of natural and cultural heritage. The exhibition presents just a few of the mainstays in the work of our early teachers and their successors, as well as the symbolic sites - as we know them from the historical sources of their work and the Cyril and Methodius tradition maintained over the centuries.
