From the war zone to Brno: Tomáš Forró visits the Faculty of Arts

On Friday, 29 April, at 2 PM, the FF MU Reading Room will host Tomáš Forró - a Slovak reporter who has been covering the Donbas for the past six years and has worked with both sides of the conflict. Forró recently returned from the war zone. "Many people perceive this as an ethnic conflict between the Ukrainian and Russian populations, as a civil war, but this is not true. The pro-Russian side is often fought by Ukrainians, and vice versa, Ukraine is often defended by Russians," he says. Forró is the author, among other things, of the successful book Donbas: a reportage of the Ukrainian conflict. The volume was published two years ago, and in it, the author captures the raw atmosphere of the war and authentic stories from both sides of the conflict.
