Large language models and the production of student professional texts

The aim of the informal meeting is:

• To open a discussion about the future of theses at the Faculty of Arts MU (how to assign these theses to make sense in the light of new tools for text generation).
• To connect faculty, academic and non-academic staff who are already using or planning to use AI in teaching.
• Share specific tips, examples, experiences across faculty and the university.

The meeting will be opened by the Vice Dean for Internationalization and Information Technology doc. Petr Dytrt, PhD. Panel presentations will be given by prof. Josef Krob (Masaryk University, AI tools and reading philosophical treatises), dr. Hana Žižková (Communication of AI with students) and Mgr. et Mgr. Lucie Tomaňová (Introduction to language models, text production and citation standards). The discussion that follows is open to questions, insights and experiences of teachers, PhD students, academic and non-academic staff of the faculty.

This initial meeting will be followed by a workshop for teachers in September, prepared by CIT FF MU.
