Department of History, Faculty of Arts, of Masaryk University, the Moravian Matrix and the Expert Group for Czech-Liechtenstein History (Czech part of the Czech-Liechtenstein Commission of Historians) cordially invite you to a lecture by Prof. Dr. Catherine Horel (Centre national de la recherche scientifique, Paris).

Catherine Horel, in her lecture entitled Multicultural Cities of the Habsburg Empire. Imagined Communities and Conflicting Encounters, she will present her latest book in which she has made a comparative analysis of the social, ethnic and cultural diversity in the last decades of the Habsburg Monarchy as represented by twelve cities: Arad, Bratislava, Brno, Chernivtsi, Lvov, Oradea, Rijeka, Sarajevo, Subotica, Temesvár, Trieste and Zagreb.

The lecture will be given in English.
