Paulína Halasová: You Are So Easy To Manipulate. Thank You.

November at the Edikula Gallery opens up the themes of social norms and interpersonal manipulation, which can take place even around the nearest corner of the corridor leading to the university classroom. Slovak artist Paulína Halasová's comic-book form of linear drawing captured on large-format film comments on the unequal world of personal relationships of imaginary characters in which any of us could recognize ourselves. The resulting situations presented in the exhibition, unencumbered by excessive pathos, invite the passing viewers and especially students to decipher the slogans and glosses, the artist's reduced symbolic language, so characteristic of the young person of the 21st century.
