Under the protection of St. Peter. The Papacy and Moravia in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period

The exhibition is a joint work of teachers and students of the Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies of the Faculty of Arts MU and was created in cooperation with the Moravian Provincial Archive. Its aim is to grasp and present, with the help of authentic archival documents, the almost thousand-year development of Moravia's relations with the Holy See, from the beginnings of Moravian Christianity in the 9th century to the end of the 18th century. At the same time, it demonstrates the shift in university teaching over the last century towards modern project-based learning with outcomes resonating with contemporary society.

The event is part of the celebration of the centenary of the beginning of teaching at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University.
