In the previous years, student conferences were organised with the support of faculty grants. Starting with the year 2010, the possibility opened of supporting these conferences within the framework of specific research projects aimed at the organisation of student research conferences. This way it is possible to design an umbrella project that allows thematic and organisational coordination. The overall aim of this particular project is to provide Mgr. and Ph.D. students of Faculty of Education, Masaryk University with opportunities to present their research and education activities, to present the activities of the Faculty’s departments to prospective students and the general public, and to compare domain-specific approaches to empirical research exercised by different departments. In 2011, the following departments agreed to participate in the project: Department of biology, Department of Czech language, Department of social pedagogy, Department of Russian language and literature, Department of history, Department of French language and literature, Department of German language and literature, Department of mathematics, Department of physics, Department of Chemistry and Department of geography.
