The substance of the proposed project Party System of the Russian Federation is to elaborate and publicise a monograph that will give the description of special subsystemic part of the political system of Russian Federation - party system. Czech professi onal public (especially academics) hasn't at present the possibility to study its realities and institutions in the Czech literature. The monograph is to offer to a broader readership (social, jurist and economical sciences) the fundamental and complex d escription of the party system of the Russian Federation from 1990 to present on the basis of the modern theoretical approaches. The analysis of the Russian party system and its resources and evolutionary tendencies presumes the application of the standa rd terminological terms (type and form of state, form of government), classical typologies of modern political sciences and parallel comparison with the general characteristic of the democratic systems.
