The aim of the proposed project is the preparation of the manuscript of study about artistic patronage in the area of the bishops of Olomouc and the Metropolitan Chapter of Olomouc in the 30s to 60s of the 1 8th century. The main topic of the research is the interpretation of the meaning of visual objects as instruments of communication in the specific cultural, social and political context. The means of study are the analysis and reconstruction of historical and social context of selected visual objects, e.g. the results of different status of patrons, different ways in commisioning and distributing of visual objects and their special meaning and functions in the context of representation of patrons. The additional themes are to show on these examples the changes in the system of cultural patronage towards the end of Baroque period in the wider Central European context and to show related changes in the organization of work of artists.
