The project is based on the applicant's investigations carried out so far, concerning literary theory and history in general and of Russian literature in particular. The presented project, natural part of Slavonic studies, reacts on the attempts of literary theory and history newly conceive history of literature, the attempts the applicant takes part in as author and participant of interantional scholarly congresses. Russian literature is inspiring from the theoretical point of wiew in the sense of its specific development from the Middle Ages up to the present day, in its deformations of extrinsic stimuli which finally led to a high degree of innovation (pre-post paradox/effect) - and not only in belles lettres, but also in other kinds of art. The ouput of the project will represent the conception of the theory of Russian literature observed from the positions of comparative and genre studies in the context of other, mainly Slavonic literatures in turning points of history.
