The "Education in Modern Methods of Archaeological Practice"; project is scheduled for the period from September 2009 until August 2012. Its objective is to expand the education of archaeology students and academics in such a way as to boost their competitiveness in the European scientific environment. The project offers theoretical and practical education in archaeological methods at a European level, and education offsetting the language handicap of Czech scientists and scholars in international specialist communication. The project is tailored to all levels of study, with options to go back and forth between levels. Students of higher grades can, fully or selectively, opt for expanded education originally targeted on students at lower levels. In the course of the three years of the project, the students’ studies will provide experience of activities leading to the Bc. and Mgr. degrees, or at the Mgr. and post-graduate degree levels. Activities running on from the completion of the project are guaranteed to last for a minimum of 5 further years. The project has its own website containing information about the activities and the programme, as well as study materials, presentations, workshop results and similar useful matters.
