Sedimentary DNA and Paleoparasitology to investigate Archaeological populations (SPINA)

The research will integrate different disciplines within the natural sciences and the humanities to establish cross-disciplinary integration of research questions and workflows. Combined with the established international network of collaborators it will not only bring research competency to the Masaryk University, but will also set this research area up for promising international research grants. The core research will be split into two areas: 1.Archaeoparasitology to investigate human activities in past populations, 2.Sedimentary eDNA to determine the impact of human activities on biodiversity
